Zip must contain paths like region_id_tifs/*.tif (GeoTIFF classification grids; optional region_id_basemaps)
— same layout as under assets/.
Upload one or more .tif / .tiff files named like hex ids
(e.g. Norway1_ID022.tif) — use Ctrl/Cmd or Shift to select multiple. Each
file is written under the matching region_id_tifs/ folder; the manifest
is rebuilt once after all uploads.
Viewers do not need accounts — the map is open to everyone. Create accounts for editors, version managers, uploaders, or admins.

Admins and version managers can create map versions. Version 1 usually holds all images. Later versions can run on curated subsets. Version Lock/Unlock applies to the entire map version (e.g. v2 active vs locked). A separate per-map lock appears in the editor after Final (“Locked → v3”): that map is read-only on the older version. Admins can use Unlock map on this version in the editor to edit that map on v2 again. Use Copy maps when both versions are unlocked.

Upload classification TIFFs to a version
Select a map version, then upload one or more local .tif files whose names match catalog hex ids (e.g. Costa_Rica_1.tif or Norway1_ID022.tif). Files are stored as committed classification drafts for that version (not the global catalog). Use Ctrl/Cmd or Shift to select multiple files.
Copy maps between versions
Who did what, newest first. Editors show the map ID (hex) in its column; workflow and raster saves when they click Save draft map (or when closing the editor with unsaved map changes). Use Preview on a row to load that draft (no automatic fetch).
